Doctors appointment

Went in to have an ultrasound done today, the baby is 9 weeks and 1 day old. It was kicking and moving it's little limbs so fast. It's about 1 inch big right now. My daughter thought it was the cutest baby ever. I wish I could put up a pic, but I'm not sure how to scan them in. When DH gets home I'll get him to mess with it and see if I can get some pics up.

Sorry

Sorry I haven't made any projects. I've been feeling pretty crummy. Tired, all the time, this nauceous hungry feeling. I can't stop eating but I feel the pain after I'm done. I'm always cold. all I do all day is make sure the dishes are cleaned and the bed is made, atleast it looked like I accomplished something that day, and I lay on the couch watching TV. I hope this feeling pasts fast. My craft room is all done and I haven't been able to take advantage of it.

Thanks for listening.

Sorry,
I know it's not Saturday but things got busy.  Friday was my 5 year wedding anniversary, my husband and I went out to dinner. Then Saturday I worked all day. Didn't quite get around to posting the video. For today's video is not a tutorial. Just a little walk through my new scrap area. I hope you enjoy the video.

The Greeting Farm blog hop

Welcome to my blog.

Here is a little project I made for today's blog hop. I used Nurse Anya colored in with some Prisma pencils. The minute I saw her I knew exactly what I was going to do with her. I've had these Provo craft Band aid tins laying around just screaming "use me". Finally had a stamp cute enought to make my project.

Stamped Nurse Anya on some watercolor paper, colored her in and cut her out. I cut the Designer paper to fit, sewed around the edges with my sewing machine and sponged the edges with SU Basic Gray ink. Wrote the journaling on the computer, printed it out on some cardstock and punched the shape using SU Designer Label punch. Added some ribbon to the handle. I took a piece of chipboard covered it with the designer paper on the front and cardstock in the back and inked the edges. Used some glue dots to glue the bottons down, wrapped string, secured with tape and added a needle. I covered the lip gloss with the same designer paper and inked the edjes. There is plenty of room left to add a few extra things in there.

Supplies used:
The Greeting Farm: Nurse Anya
SU: Designer paper, Ribbon, Basic Gray ink and Designer Label punch
Provo Craft: Band Aid tin
Prisma pencils: PC924, PC904, PC945, PC946, PC935, PC918, PC1065 and PC910
Font: Blackadder ITC

Home decor

I had said that I've been busy decorating and making pillows and such for the house. Well I got everything done. Here are some pics of my things. Here is a little tip. Go to Thrift stores. I found most of the fabric I used at the thrifts store. It came in a bag, so I didn't know exactly how big the pieces were. Once I got home and opened it up they were not even. They were just left over pieces from some ones else's work. The pieces were big enought to make all these pillows and small runner for the table. I only spent $3 for the bag. Not a bad deal I thought. Also, Joanns has a remnant section, if you go when they are on sale you can get a huge discount off. If all you need is a couple yards why not. No need in paying full price for a bit of fabric. Well I hope you guys like it.

I found these glass bottles in the trash. Some one actually threw these out. The branches I got from the Clearence sections of Target for only $2. I used the same Sizzix die Flower layers to cut there tiny flowers to add a little color.

Close up

These pillows I made.

These pillows I had and just re-covered them to match.

This is my dinning room table. I made that square runner just to add some color to the table. I'm having a really hard time with how to decorate the table. It's a square 8 seater table and there dont' seem to be any table cloths that big. Rectangular place mats are too long so it looks odd when I have one at each seat. If you guys have any ideas let me know I'd love to hear them.

This is my new coffee table. I found the rectangle box at the thrift store for $20. It opens up and on the inside I have some throw blankets and some pillows for when I want to cuddle on the couch. I painted it with some paint from Lowes Oops section for $5, it just so happen to match the fabric perfectly. The legs were fence post toppers from Home Depot that were less than $3 a piece.

I also used the same Oops paint to cover this buffet. It also came from the thrift store and it only cost $20. It didn't have a back to it but DH went to the hardware store and purchased a backing and it was good as new.

This is an Ikea stand. I've had it for year and just keep painting it to match the current decor. Used the same Oops paint for this aswell.

AmyB

Sorry it took me so long to get these meassurements out to you. For the Top Note die. The biggest part sof the die are 4 1/2 x 3 1/2. There is also a perfarated edge which measures 4 1/4 x 3 1/4. What you do is cut the perferated edge off and the die cut becomes smaller, you can them place that on top of a full die cut and you get a bottom and top layer. Hope that makes sense. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks

Not much going on

Not feeling too good today, kids home from school for spring break driving me crazy and the weather has been pretty crappy. Haven't had the energy to do much of nothing. Going to take the opportunity this week to do doctors appointments and things like that. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better and I'll get some things done around the house. We're having Easter Dinner here and I want the house to look really nice. I spent most of yesterday making pillows and decorating. I really like the way they came out. As soon as they're all done I'll put some pics up for you guys to see. Well this is all for tonight. I'm going to start getting ready for bed.

Good night!
