My second attempt at a card in a looooong time

The first card I tried to make was kind of embarrassing.  I totally love this one. I used MFT Flopsy.  Nestabilities to make the card and rain dots.  The photo corners are from a Quickutz die.

Hello Kitty

I am super EXCITED!! I just received my order of Hello Kitty dies.  Sizzix did an awesome job with these.  If you are interested this site has them for a good price and they do free shipping over $50.

I made this felt Hello Kitty with one of the dies. I'm in cloud nine. Now I can't wait until the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge comes out and the Sizzix Big Shot Hello Kitty machine.  If you 're interested in Pre-ordering the Hello Kitty cartridge do it from here. They have great shipping and she's very nice. I also happen to design for her site a bit.

I guess this is all for now.  Until next time!!

Last one I promise

Okay, so I got an idea for a card and I had to make it. This is a MFT stamp. I love my ladies with no head lol!!!

Supplies:
Stamp: MFT Serenity now
Fiskars: Fabric scallop shears
Nestabilities Large Scallop Rectangles
Basic Gray ribbon
Cricut for the tab at the bottom

Some new Rubbah

I got my shipment form Unity stamp company.  I love my new stamps. Here are a few things I made with some of the new sets. You guys need to check them out. They have fantastic prices and the shipping is a flat $5 rate.  Can't beat that.

For this card I used Becoming Butterfly
Then I took some packaging and cut a ghost butterfly out with my sixxiz die. Used the cuttlebug embossing folder Textile Texture. Distressed the edges a bit with some ink. For the colorful butterflies inside the image I stamped the sentiment on some paper and cut the butterflies out. Then pop them up with some pop dots. Added some stickles for some bling.

I went to buy some sticky note pads. When I got home I realized that they were lose paper. Used my BIA to bind it all together. The cover and pack are made out of chipboard. Used the Cricut cartridge Accent Essentials for the frame. This Unity Stamp Copmay stamp is called Hey chick. So cute. Love these birds. Colored it in with SU watercolor pencils. Used some stickles for some bling. Added some ribbon on the wires.

Here is what the inside looks like.

For this card I used Hey Chick again. Mounted the stamps on my Fiskars stamps press so that I can make sure that they stamps lined up correctly. Colored them in with SU watercolor pencils. Used some CTMH liquid glass to add a little shine and texture to certain parts of the birds. Used my Large Long Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities die to make the frame. Used my Fiskars scallop fabric shears to make an edge on my card. Added some primas and did a little paper piercing on the side.
The talk bubble was cut with the Cricut cartridge George. The "hello" is also from Hey chick.

That's it. Thanks for stopping by. I probably won't have much on this weekend. Today I have to get ready for my first demo at ACM's and tomorrow I'll be at ACM almost all day doing the demo.

Glad it's finally done.  This is my daughter and I at the movies.  At the beach they offer free kids movies on Tuesdays during the summer.  We go to MCD's and have some dinner before hand. Which so happens that Tuesday is also family night at MCD's and happy meals are only $1.40. Then we head to the beach.  We have such a great time her and I.

Winner

Thanks to all that participated in my first challenge.  The winner is Mary. Congrats. Here is the submission picture. Didn't she do a fab job!!!!

Fiskars sewing challenge

There was a sewing challenge over at the Fiskateers message board. Well it got my juices flowing and I came up with this layout. So cute. My daughter was standing next to me the whole time. The sounds she was making every time I did something else she though was cute. I'm glad that she's happy with her layout. This is her 3rd birthday party. It feels so good to scrapbook again. Now I hope I can keep the creativity alive and catch up a bit more.

(All of the border punches and shears are make by Fiskars)
I used the Scallop daisy border punch for the top. The bottom scallop border was done with the scallop sewing shears then glued the left over flower confetti form the scallop daisy border punch. The grass was done with Leave it to weaver border punch then the trimmed with the pinking shears to make it more jagged.

Week #1 Challenge Video #1

Here is the first video. I decided to make it a card since I always forget the card. I get so busy making everything else that when I go to hand the gift, no card.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy Monday

Hello,
I have been thinking about all the things that I have to do for Christmas.   I know it's early, but there are so many people to give.  There are also some homemade gifts to make to hand out.
Here is a little challenge. Everyday this week I will be uploading a new tutorial.  Very easy and simple to make but when put together in a gift bag (which I will also show how to make) will make a big impact.  This will be something nice to give to a co-worker or a teacher.  So please join me in this weeks challenge.  On Friday the final video will be uploaded and you will have until Monday to complete everything.  Everyone who completes the challenge  please link it on here either to a blog or email me at supercutshottie@yahoo.com so that I can post it for you. Everyone who completes the challenge will get their name put in a drawing for a small RAK.  I will pick one winner and announce it right here on Tuesday.

Todays video will be uploaded later this afternoon.  Until then, here are a couple of cards that I completed this weekend.

I got this fabulous stamp set called Twisted Sentiments by My Favorite Things.  I love all the "adult" phrases that are included in those.  My friends and I are not very gushy people so these phrases help me get the point across with a little adult humor.  My best friend just found out he is having a baby. This is the card I made for them. I just love the way it came out and I know he's going to get a kick out of it.

Supplies used:
Stamping up: OH my work stamp set
My favorite things: Twisted Sentiments
Fiskars: Threading water punch
Cricut: Minnie monograms cartridge scallop cirlces and regular circles
