Happy Holidays!

Hope you guys had a fantastic holiday. We had a busy but good day. The kids enjoyed themselves and received some great presents from Santa. Santa was very good to me too. I had a video recorded but my flip is nowhere to be found, who knows where I packed that thing,so I recorded using my regular camera and I'm having a hard time getting it uploaded. The gifts were already handed out so I guess pics are going to be the only thing I'll be able to show you. I got a new Macpro so once I get the pics uploaded on there I can post them.

I killed my copic!

Yeah.  So they're supposed to last a long time and can handle being abused but I guess I'm an exception to that rule. I managed to mess it up in less than 6 months. The tip is shot and the marker is running dry and of coarse my husband has put me on a spending ban. According to him "I spend too much".  I'm on a freeze for a month.  Why me? Why me? Why me?  On a side note: I have another card to share today.
This card is created using American Crafts Dear Lizzy collection. I have to be honest. I have a crush. Not only is she beautiful her crafting style is totally cute.  Love it!

Son's 1st birthday cakes

My son't first birthday party was this past weekend. He just loves Yo gabba gabba. We were having a hard time finding anything locally with those characters so we bought the party supplies online and I tackeled making the cakes from scratch. I normally buy the character pans and decorate the cakes since the designs are already visible and it's pretty easy. I'm proud to say that even the fondant was home made. I used this recipe. It came out a little sticky so I was afraid of putting it through my circut cake so I got out my handy dandy Wilton fondant cutters to make the shapes. I think they came out so cute. They tasted pretty good too.

Card and Gift bag

I've actually been creating an awful lot.  My problem: once the picture is taken there is  no guarantee that I'm actually going to upload it to my computer.  The other day I sat down and I uploaded all the pics in there.  So now for a little while I'll have something crafty to put up here.
I crated this for my Mother in law's birthday.  I'm obsessed with creating gift bags out of lunch bags. They're cheap and very easy to personalize.  I've been making them left and right.  I have a few more projects to share with them later in the week.  Inside this bag was a Peachy keen stamp set, two acrylic blocks, a momento dew drop and the refill.  Fit in there perfectly.  Of coarse I forgot to give her the card but that's besides the point.  I used a lot of things to create this project so I'm going to try and link as much as possible. Not necessarily where I purchased it from but so you can get an idea of what it is and looks like.  The only thing that I really altered was the ribbon and the white paper flowers.  The ribbon used to be a baby blue color and I used my copics with the chisel end and colored it to match I did the same thing with the white paper flowers except I used the brush end to color them.  On the bag the butterflies are supposed to form a heart. Didn't look as nice as I was hoping but the effect is still noticeable I think.
