..finally!
We got this local Internet service when we first moved into the house that was cheap since we're doing some work to the house and we were looking to save money, well it was slow as heck. It took for ever to upload videos and if my husband started playing ps3 forget it. Everything would stall out. There is a website that measures your wifi speed or whatever, 0-10, 0 is the slowest and 10 the fastest. We came in at .05. No lie. Tonight after the upgrade with a bigger company we're at 8.05. Yeeeessssss!! It's like heaven. My husband is plaing as we speak and I just finished watching a YouTube vid. No stalling, no buffing just playing. I'm so happy!

Two sugar gliders hurt
So I've been gone a while. Another one of my gliders got attacked and I found the attacker in action. Thankfully I caught it as it was happening so my second glider's bite mark is only the size of a pea. Took my three males in to the Vet today and got them checked out. Everybody looked good, no infections and the glider that was causing all the commotion got a shot that helps calm down his testosterone so hopefully he'll stop attacking and we can eventually work on acclimating all the gliders together again. If not I'm going to have to split them up into pairs in different cages. What a mess. I have them all separated right now so I have 4 cages out. That's a lot of cleaning for me. But it's worth it as long as they are safe. My crafting mojo has left temporarily but hopefully this weekend I'll be able to sit down and create something. I got a few new goodies I would like to play with. Well that's all for today.

MIA with a hurt glider
I have not really been in the mood to sit and create. My bigger male sugar glider attacked one of my other males and left about a nikel size wound on his back. I've been watching him making sure he's eating and well. Poor little guy. I feel so bad for him. I have to keep him away fom everybody until he's healed and his fur grows back. I had to take out my travel cage to put him in our bedroom so that I can better look out for him. He's hanging from my neck on a pouch. They're such colony based animals that I'm afraid he's going to get lonely and hurt himself if he's kept alone too long so I'm providing him company as much as possible. I would post a pic but it's very groosome. Kinda gross looking really. I freaked out when I first saw it. I've never seen anything like it and they've been living together for 5 years without incidents.
I'll have a card to share tomorrow that I finished a few days ago.

My first Papertrey Ink card
I've had about 5 of their sets that I've been afraid to ink up. I think they're just so beautiful. Well I finally got the guts to ink one of the sets and make a card. For this card I used Everyday Button Bits. This set was specifically designed for you to use buttons. Love it!! On the website you'll see that there is some gray shading well that part does not stamp. That's where the buttons go. Fantastic HUH?
Here is my card:
Here is my card:
Breakdown and supplies:
First I made a standard size card with Papertrey ink's Stamper's select white cardstock. Stamped Hero Art's Cloud Background stamp with Hero Art's Shadow ink in Soft Pool. Took my Papertrey ink set and cut the hot air balloons apart. All three came together but I wanted them spread out through the card. Stamped them with Memento Dew Drop in Tuxedo Black. I tied black embroidery floss to random buttons from my collection to fit the size of the hot air balloon. I attached them either using Zots or Glossy Accents. For the banner die cut I used Papertrey ink's Double-Ended Banners die set and then stamped one of the banners from Papertrey ink's Banner Builder Set, inside I used the sentiment "Soaring by to say hi" from the Everyday button bits set all on Papertrey ink's Stamper's select white cardstock. Inked the edges of the banner with Hero Arts Shadow ink in Soft Pool and to finish the card I rounded the bottom two edges with We R Memory Keepers' round Corner Chomper.
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by:
