Thrifty Tuesday

Hello everyone,

I'm back again with some more thrifty finds. I'm really really trying not to buy anything that I don't absolutely need. I definitely did better yesterday.

My loot:

1. Another one of Ikea's Trones shoe storage boxes. I think I may end up hiding a shoe storage box outside for the kids play shoes.
2. 2 more Disney VHS's for my collection
3. The Vow book
4. Forever 21 pencil skirt (the cutest)
5. Moda gray wool coat
6. Gas pump toy
7. Small wooden shelf

For everything I spent a little more than $12. My best finds were the coat which only cost me $4.50 and the wooden shelf for 52 cents.

Thrifty Tuesday

Hello again. Yesterday I decided to venture out and try a few different thrift stores. There is a website pinned on Pinterest where you enter your zip code and they list the thrift stores around where you live. They showed me a few not to far from my house that I've never knew were there. I did find a few things at each but I don't think the new ones are going to be ones I visit often. Found the prices high and the sales not very good.

Here is the website if you're interested.

My loot:

I got a lot of different little bags of craft stuff, embroidery thread, googley eyes, Etc.. So I'm not going to list everything but I'll list my best finds.

-long brown shelf $1.52. Ill be painting it a nice glossy white and hanging it in our master bath. The bathroom is so small with absolutely no storage. Ill be putting extra rolls of toilet paper, towels etc.
- 13x19 20 count Epson glossy photo paper n$3. They had more so I'm hoping it'll be there on their sale day to save some $$.
- 3 more Disney VHS's for my collection. 50 cents each.
- Ikea Trones shoe storage box $2.25.
On the website it's showing it comes in a 3 pack. I only saw one but can't complain for the price.
- a humongous oval embroidery hoop. 18x27 $1.50. Ill be making some sort of art for the walls. Not sure what but it was too cool to pass up.

Spent a total of $28.42.

Thrifty Tuesday

I'm trying so hard not to over buy. I promised my husband I would not buy any more clothes and shoes when I go to the thrift store but it's really hard to do. I LOVE clothes and shoes. Like with a passion.  Yesterday I was hoping that I could find some unique decorative pieces for the house, but I had no luck.  I think I may go to the antique mall tomorrow and see what they have. I love it there, but the isles are narrow and there is just so much stuff my son can get into and cause trouble. LOL! I did pick up a few things.

My loot:

1. Pyrex Carrier 75 cents
2. 2 VHS movies
-Fun and Fancy Free 52 cents
-Melody Time 52 cents
3. 2 books
-The lucky one 75 cents
-Bob the Builder Let's count 37 cents
4. Blue Mossimo Bathing Suit top 22 cents
5. Junior Separate Polka Dot Bathing Suit top 52 cents
6. BCBG MAXAZRIA brown dress $5.24
7. Isaac Mizrahi  for Target Blazer $1.50
8. Lil Lovables Fluffy Factory $1.50
9. Speed Stacks Set $3
10. Adidas Sneakers (hubs needed old cheap sneakers to do yard work) $3

Grand Total: $18.98. WHOOP! WHOOP!

My new toy!

I'm so excited I can't barely stand it! I wanted something small to drive around town since both kids will be in school next year and I don't need to lug my gas guzzler to run errands. I knew I wanted a mini convertible, no questions. So we got to shopping. The first car sold the night before, the second car (the one I bought) was pretty good. Third car a newer model and they didn't even want to take $100 off. Fourth car, 2 hrs. away so misleading. The top didn't even snap into place, all scratched up and just not that good of a condition for what they're asking. Through the week we were looking online and there was really nothing in our price range with low miles. We decided to head back and look at the second car. Compared to what we've seen and researched it was just a no brainer. 2005 with only 16500 miles on it. Un real. They were even willing to negotiate the price and went down $1750 from the asking price. So I brought it home! It's an S with dual exhaust and manual. Love manual cars and I missed having it since getting the SUV. Of coarse this week it's supposed to rain. Figures.

It's Thrifty Tuesday!!

The kids are off for Spring Break and I've been super busy trying to keep them busy, softball season has started and I've barely had time to sit down, which is why this post is super late. I did take a trip for me yesterday and made it thrifting. I ventured out to two new thrift stores, to me, and I think the venture was a success, mainly because both kids were with me and we came out with a lot of books they wanted. I normally don't buy too many books for them unless they're with me. Specially for my daughter. She reeds like a maniac and has an intensive book collection and I'm to the point that I don't know what she has a doesn't have.

My loot:

1. Sand Box Table (this  baby is selling for $77 on Amazon.com) I got it for $8. Major Score!

5. Brand New Christmas tree base
6.White/Black gray blazer
7.Pack of Christmas envelopes

10.George of the Jungle VHS
