Introducing...

...Jayden James Eby

Here is a picture of my new pride and joy. He weigh 8.5 pounds and was 20.5 inches long. He's just perfect. He's officially a week old today.

The c-section went good. I'm slowly but surely recovering. I'm not in much pain anymore. Every now and then it hurts a bit but nothing I can't handle.

He's adjusting well to being home. Eating well and sleeping a lot during the day. At night, wide awake. I'm exhausted but I try to get in a nap during the day so that I'm some what functianable.

One week left

Went to my last Doctors appointment today. Everything is good. The only problem is that I've been eating like it's going out of style. Gained 4 pounds in one week. Felt so bad about that, that to make myself feel better I headed out to Burger King and bought a huge meal with a strawberry milk shake. LOL!

My c-section is scheduled for the day before Thanksgiving. Once week away. Can't wait. I'm ready to end the pregnancy part of this chapter and begin the chapter of being a mom to a little boy. I'm so excited about that.

I'm probably going to be MIA for a while. I'll do my best to keep the blog updated with pics of the baby. Hopefully then I'll feel more like scrappin than I do now.

Oh my achy swollen feet

They are absolutely ridiculous. I can feel it coming on too. All of the sudden they just start hurting and tingling. I look down and sure enough, they're three times their normal size. But I only have 16 more days to go. My husband and I did a non-professional photo shoot today. Wanted to get last pics of my belly. Isabella was in them too. They came out OK. We're not professionals or anything so we did best we could do with what we had. I have to edit them and then I'll post the finished product. Well let me see if I can go to bed. I have some last minute things to do. House cleaning and stuff like that. Gotta make sure it's presentable for when family starts rolling in.

Packing the bags

Don't feel too good today. Not sure what it is but all day I've felt a little funny. Still about 2 1/2 weeks till my c-section but I'm packing my bags for the hospital tonight just in case. Gotta get the kids packed up too incase I have to drop them off at friends houses. We don't have any family coming in to stay at our house until the 21st and mom is 2 hours away. It will be alot of running around if the baby does decide to come early. The time is almost here and now I'm starting not to feel ready. I feel all discombobulated and un-organized. Let me get back to packing. Got a lot of things to do.

Halloween pics

Hope everybody had a good Halloween. We had a great time. Went around the neighborhood and got a lot of candy. Ryan drove up a few blocks with the car and then he would run down and meet us. When we got the car he would do it again. At first it seemed silly but after an hour and a half it was nice not to have to walk all the way back home. My feet were so swollen and sore from all the walking. It was worth it though. Isabella looked too cute in her costume. We had gone to one of her little friends Birthday party earlier in the day and she won best costume there. All in all it was a great day. Here are some pics from the night. Ryan dressed up too. Not sure what he was supposed to be, I was a 70's hippy with Love child. LOL!

Feeling under the weather

Seems like I've been battleling this for a week or so. Isabella came home with a little something and we got it under control but I feel as if I'm getting worst by the day. Went to Patient First after 2 1/2 hours of waiting turnes out that I do not have the flu. YEAH! Just the common cold. Fever keeps going up and down. Nothing major. It spikes at 99.5. I just hope I feel better by Thursday. My braces are supposed to come off, then on Friday Isabella has a field trip that she wants me to go to and we also bought tickets to see Princess on Ice for Friday night and I would just feel terrible if I have to end up canceling. It would just break her heart.

She was so funny this morning. She came down stairs before school crying. I asked her what's wrong. She said she was sad she got me sick. I told her it was OK. She proceeded to ask me if I was still going to go to the field trip on Friday. I said yes. Very concerned she looked at me and said, "but mommy you'll just be coughing on everybody". LOL!!

She does things like this all the time. She pretends to worry about me and then turnes out she was just making sure we will still be doing what we talked about. Sneaky Sneaky child I tell ya!

For a whole week she kept asking me if I would go and have lunch with her. I said yes I'll go on Pizza day. Pizza days aproaches, I go to her school to have lunch. She was so happy to see me. Gives me hugs and kisses. Tells everybody I have a baby in my belly and that is a boy. We sit down to eat. Then she proceeds to tell me that next time I go visit her she wants to bring her a Happy Meal. LOL!!

Belly cast

My hubby and I made my belly cast last night. We did one with Isabella and we had so much fun we decided to do it again. I'm not going to lie. It is one of the most uncomfortable things ever, but it's so worth it. I'm pretty sure you can tell by the look of my face. LOL! The worst part is trying to wash off the whole jar of petroleum jelly you have to use so that the caster material does not stick to your skin. I could not get it off in one wash. It took me quite a while to feel like I was some what clean. Well here is the pic. I will post when it's all painted and done. I'll post a pic of Isabella's too then.

Pregnancy brain at it's best

There is a well known fact that pregnant women get pregnancy brain. Which means that we will forget anything within a two minute period, or sometimes even less. Here is a good example of that. I though I would enjoy a nice afternoon of shopping all by myself today. The weather here in VA was beautiful and I had gotten a good 6.5-7 hours of sleep, which is pretty good for me considering. I proceeded to go to Joanns. I exit the car all exited about my outing. Look inside my bag for my keys to lock the door, they're not there, not in my pants either. Check in the car, yup they're still in the ignition. You're probably saying to yourself "hey that's not bad". Which on it's own it's not. The bad thing was that I left the car running. I felt so stupid when I realized it. Who knows what else I'm capable of doing right now. Makes me a little nervous leaving the house without any supervision. LOL!!

My wonderful shopping day

Today is the last official day of my husbands vacation. Instead of taking the day off to rest he took me to a place that I have been wanting to go since the day we moved to Richmond. Stoney Point Fashion Park. What's so special about this place you ask? Well it has a Louis Vuitton store. I'm a purse a holic. Absolutely love them and have waaayy too many of them. From the minute I walked into the store I felt like I was walking on clouds. The purses were magnificent and they were displayed so beautifully. My husband commented on how I was being oh so gentle with them, more gentle that I was with our daughter. LOL! I didn't buy anything. Way too rich for my blood but it sure did make me happy just to be able to touch one of them. Our next stop. Sak's. Now, when I walked into this store it felt like the heavens opened and a light shined upon me. They had a whole wall with nothing but name brand bags. Chanel, Gucci, Mark Jacobs, Coach, Michael Kors and so on and so on. Once again, I came out empty handed but I did touch every single bag that I could get my hands one. Even smelled a few. LOL! I have found my happy place. Whenever I start to feel stressed or need somewhere to get away, that is where I will be. It's only a 15 minute drive from my home and oh so worth it.

I can't see my toes!

Don't have much longer to go. Less than two months now. Belly's getting big, I'm gaining a lot of weigh and things that I used to be able to see before can't see now. One of those being my toes. I love having my toes done. Makes me feel pretty when they look good. Now that I can't see them you better believe that I can't reach them either. Well my husband is being such a doll. He painted my toes today. He didn't do a fantastic job, but knowing that I have fresh polish on them makes me feel good. Plus, when I'm standing I can't see them. LOL!! What truly makes him a doll is that he even painted our daughters toes and nails since it's really hard for me to bend over to get to them. She was so thrilled and proud. It took a little priving and convincing to get her to take a shower tonight since she was so afraid that it was going to come off. HEHE!!

Had a doctors appointment today. The baby is doing great. The only problem is, the week of my supposed c-section my doctor is off. Now he's trying to find out who's on call that week that can do my c-section. I'm freaking out a little bit. I have less than two months to get to know a new doctor. Scary Scary.

Things I've learned from renting.

My husband and I are getting to the point that we are extremely tired of renting. We're ready to be home owners and settle down. But I gotta say that all these years of renting have not been in vain. We have learned a few things. Here are some of them for ya.

-With the amount of animals and kids we have, Hardwood floors are much easier to clean when "accidents" happen.

-We DO NOT want the kids bedroom on the second floor when ours is on the first. Specially if their bedrooms and bathroom are right on top of yours. I do not enjoy listening to them using the restroom and flushing the toilet at 5 a.m.

-We ABSOLUTELY LOVE living on a culdesac.

-One of the most important ones. If you live in a humid climate and you have a basement, specially if it's not finished, you have to have a de-humidifier or mold and mildew will grow.

You guys dont' know how upset I am right now. I go down there Friday night and my room is covered. I mean covered with the stuff. On my walls, scrapbooking supplies, pics on the wall, MY HELLO KITTY STUFF. It was every where. I almost broke down in tears. Reading on the internet we found that that is happens when the weather changes. We've been going from 80's to 60's alot. My awesome husband bought one Saturday morning and spent most of Saturday bleaching the walls and baseboards. Today, which is his first day of vacation, we spend cleaning all my scrapbooking supplies and hello kitty stuff one by one. We are finally done. The air down there is much better. We could tell a difference in about two hours. My room is nice and clean and I can be safely down there scrapbooking now.

Well thanks for listening. I had to get that off my chest.

Can't sleep, Can't sleep

It's 2:15 in the am and I can't sleep worth anything. AGAIN. My bed is extremely uncomfortable. The pain that shoots through my body it's insane. I've resorted to sleeping on the couch. Much Much Much more comfortable. I have the worst pregnancy Insomnia. Alot of tossing and turning. The fact that the baby is up doesn't' help either. He just kicks and moves and gets the hick ups. We have to work on his time clock a bit cause this is waaaayy to early to be up. When I finally do fall asleep it's for a few hours and then I'm up again. Depending on how my day is sometimes I get to take a nap for a few hours, but if not man is it rough trying to make it though the day with just a few hours of sleep. To top it all off. Indigestion. I've never had it before this pregnancy. It's the worst. It happens all the time. I've taken some pepto but it's not working tonight.

Got alot of the baby stuff put together this weekend. Got all his clothes hung up. Taking inventory of the things we still need to buy. Not much really just small things. Gotta do laundry and get my night bag ready too. Oh and gotta get the kids packed up as well in case I go in labor early or something. I only have 2 more months to go. I go in to see the doctor every two weeks now. Found out I was anemic so he gave me a prescription for iron pills. Other than that everything else has been just great.

Have a good night..well good morning!

Weird Craving

Most people think that a craving is something you have to eat while pregnant. Mine has been MCD's fish sandwich. It will be 11 pm and I'm begging my husband to run out and get me some. 50/50 I get my way. It depends whether I woke him up from sound sleep or he's still awake. But lately the weirdest craving has been Lavender/Vanilla Febreeze products. I have bought everything. Sanitizing wipes, air spray, even went out and bought the swiffer so that I can get the Lavender/Vanilla wet cloths, furniture polish and ofcoarse the fabric freshener. Signed up online to receive coupons for their products. After 3 long weeks they finally arrived. It has taken everything I have not to run out to target and get the candle, TODAY, which thanks to their coupons I just found out they had. It's an obsession, a good one I guess since my house smells delicious!

World's most horrible blogger

My excuse... don't have one. Just pure laziness. What's been going on? Well I'm 27 weeks pregnant today. WOW! has time passed by. My last day of work was this past Sunday so I'm very happy about that. My baby girls starts pre-school in a week. Which completly terrifies me. Other than that not much. Still feeling very tired, sleeping is almost non existant. I find the bed horribly uncomfortable. I end up on the couch alot which is more comfortable than the bed but not by much. Well...

Went in to have an ultrasound done today, the baby is 9 weeks and 1 day old. It was kicking and moving it's little limbs so fast. It's about 1 inch big right now. My daughter thought it was the cutest baby ever. I wish I could put up a pic, but I'm not sure how to scan them in. When DH gets home I'll get him to mess with it and see if I can get some pics up.

The Greeting Farm blog hop

Welcome to my blog.

Here is a little project I made for today's blog hop. I used Nurse Anya colored in with some Prisma pencils. The minute I saw her I knew exactly what I was going to do with her. I've had these Provo craft Band aid tins laying around just screaming "use me". Finally had a stamp cute enought to make my project.

Stamped Nurse Anya on some watercolor paper, colored her in and cut her out. I cut the Designer paper to fit, sewed around the edges with my sewing machine and sponged the edges with SU Basic Gray ink. Wrote the journaling on the computer, printed it out on some cardstock and punched the shape using SU Designer Label punch. Added some ribbon to the handle. I took a piece of chipboard covered it with the designer paper on the front and cardstock in the back and inked the edges. Used some glue dots to glue the bottons down, wrapped string, secured with tape and added a needle. I covered the lip gloss with the same designer paper and inked the edjes. There is plenty of room left to add a few extra things in there.

Supplies used:
The Greeting Farm: Nurse Anya
SU: Designer paper, Ribbon, Basic Gray ink and Designer Label punch
Provo Craft: Band Aid tin
Prisma pencils: PC924, PC904, PC945, PC946, PC935, PC918, PC1065 and PC910

Home decor

I had said that I've been busy decorating and making pillows and such for the house. Well I got everything done. Here are some pics of my things. Here is a little tip. Go to Thrift stores. I found most of the fabric I used at the thrifts store. It came in a bag, so I didn't know exactly how big the pieces were. Once I got home and opened it up they were not even. They were just left over pieces from some ones else's work. The pieces were big enought to make all these pillows and small runner for the table. I only spent $3 for the bag. Not a bad deal I thought. Also, Joanns has a remnant section, if you go when they are on sale you can get a huge discount off. If all you need is a couple yards why not. No need in paying full price for a bit of fabric. Well I hope you guys like it.

I found these glass bottles in the trash. Some one actually threw these out. The branches I got from the Clearence sections of Target for only $2. I used the same Sizzix die Flower layers to cut there tiny flowers to add a little color.

Close up

These pillows I made.

These pillows I had and just re-covered them to match.

This is my dinning room table. I made that square runner just to add some color to the table. I'm having a really hard time with how to decorate the table. It's a square 8 seater table and there dont' seem to be any table cloths that big. Rectangular place mats are too long so it looks odd when I have one at each seat. If you guys have any ideas let me know I'd love to hear them.

This is my new coffee table. I found the rectangle box at the thrift store for $20. It opens up and on the inside I have some throw blankets and some pillows for when I want to cuddle on the couch. I painted it with some paint from Lowes Oops section for $5, it just so happen to match the fabric perfectly. The legs were fence post toppers from Home Depot that were less than $3 a piece.

I also used the same Oops paint to cover this buffet. It also came from the thrift store and it only cost $20. It didn't have a back to it but DH went to the hardware store and purchased a backing and it was good as new.

This is an Ikea stand. I've had it for year and just keep painting it to match the current decor. Used the same Oops paint for this aswell.

AmyB

Sorry it took me so long to get these meassurements out to you. For the Top Note die. The biggest part sof the die are 4 1/2 x 3 1/2. There is also a perfarated edge which measures 4 1/4 x 3 1/4. What you do is cut the perferated edge off and the die cut becomes smaller, you can them place that on top of a full die cut and you get a bottom and top layer. Hope that makes sense. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks

Not feeling too good today, kids home from school for spring break driving me crazy and the weather has been pretty crappy. Haven't had the energy to do much of nothing. Going to take the opportunity this week to do doctors appointments and things like that. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better and I'll get some things done around the house. We're having Easter Dinner here and I want the house to look really nice. I spent most of yesterday making pillows and decorating. I really like the way they came out. As soon as they're all done I'll put some pics up for you guys to see. Well this is all for tonight. I'm going to start getting ready for bed.

I'm surrounded by shredded paper

My goal is to make my SU business a sucess. With that in mind I have to be able to use my scrap room. Well I really can't get to it since there are piles of boxes will bills dating back to 2003. all I have been doing in shredding paper today. I'm so annoyed with it all. Just the sound of the shredder makes my skin crawl. I hope I always remember this day. I never ever ever want to go through this again.

Okay thanks for listening now back to shredding.
